How to apply

This is the simple step-by-step guide to applying for the Year For God programme:

  1. This might take a little while so make yourself comfortable and begin…
  2. Pray for God to guide you.
  3. Make sure you’ve looked at the Locations and Dates pages here (or talked to us) to know where and when you would like to go. We have more details in our information and location packs which we can e-mail to you. Please bear in mind you may need time to raise money or apply for a visa when deciding when you want to go.
  4. Download and print the Application Forms (either the A4 or the US Letter size).
  5. Read through the instructions at the front of the forms. There are several parts of the application including three references and two medical forms which you will need to get completed. Not all the parts need to be submitted at once but we ask that when you return the main application form you include the £25 application fee (cheques or bank drafts should be made payable to YWAM).
  6. We will contact you when we receive your application but please feel free to call or e-mail us with any questions at any point during the process.
  7. Once we have received all the parts of your application and have approved it we will issue you with a letter of acceptance. At this point you’ll need to pay at least £200 of the £395 to confirm your place ; this goes towards the cost for Orientation, Debrief and Administration here at Holmsted (the balance of £195 will be due at the Orientation Week).
  8. We will help you arrange all the other details at this stage (airfares, insurance, visas, etc.)
