A Year For God?
Year for God (YFG) is a 12-month opportunity for Christian mission training and experience in a different culture. YFG runs as part of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) from Holmsted Manor, England but with the exception of the orientation and debrief weeks the whole year takes place outside England. The year consists of a 6-month Discipleship Training School (DTS) followed by a 6-month mission work placement.
History of YFG
YFG has been running since 1991. In that time many have been trained and experienced a ‘mission’ lifestyle in 15 countries around the world including:
Uganda, Bolivia, Estonia, Brazil, Albania, Kazakhstan, Argentina, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Poland, Tanzania and Singapore/Asia.
Who is YFG for?
YFG is for Christians 18+ who are wanting to take a year to experience life as a missionary, develop thier relationship with God and to serve Him through overseas missions in a cross-cultural setting. The year will be challenging and life changing, so we are looking for committed people with enthusiasm, initiative and a desire to know God more and serve Him.
